Plain-language privacy policy

Short version: BuyBrightly should collect only what is needed to compare prices, save your cart, provide your plan, and prevent fraud. We do not need your retailer password or complete payment-card number.
Information we use
Depending on the features you choose, this may include your account contact details, saved shopping lists, approximate area or ZIP code, subscription status, support messages, and security events such as failed access attempts. Exact location is requested only after you choose that option.
Payments
A secure payment provider hosts payment entry and processes subscription charges. BuyBrightly sends the verified account email to that provider and locks it into checkout so the subscription can be returned to the correct account. To prevent accidental duplicate checkouts, BuyBrightly temporarily stores a keyed, one-way checkout-reservation value derived from the verified email rather than another readable copy of the email. The reservation stops blocking a retry after 15 minutes, is removed after a final checkout result when available, and stale reservations are purged during later checkout activity. BuyBrightly receives identifiers, plan status, payment status, and limited transaction details needed for support, accounting, refunds, and dispute prevention. BuyBrightly does not receive or store your complete card number.
Advertising and affiliates
The free plan may show labeled advertising. Affiliate links may record that a customer visited or purchased from a retailer. Advertising relationships do not purchase the top price ranking. We will provide a consent mechanism before enabling nonessential advertising or cross-site tracking technologies.
Location
You may use a manually entered ZIP code instead of device location. Browser permission can be revoked through your device settings. We minimize location precision and retention according to the feature you use.
Retention and security
We keep information only for legitimate product, accounting, fraud-prevention, and legal needs. Safeguards include encrypted transport, access controls, security logging, dependency review, backups, and incident response. No service can promise perfect security.
Your choices
You may request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of eligible personal information, and opt out of qualifying sale, sharing, or targeted advertising. The production business must publish a monitored privacy contact before accepting public accounts.
Children
BuyBrightly is not directed to children under 13 and should not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
Material changes will be dated and communicated as required. This launch policy must be reviewed for the states and countries where the service is offered.
